Gifts For Seniors

Low Fidelities

My original lofi was a donation page that initially served a basic function but later underwent a significant transformation. The newly designed page now offers two streamlined methods for making donations, along with a convenient third option for donating by check, which ultimately makes the entire process simpler and easier for users to engage with. Additionally, it features a thoughtfully designed navigation bar that is not only easy to read but also compact, ensuring that the interface does not feel cluttered or overwhelming for visitors.

Mid Fidelities

This is The Mid Fidelities for the gift drive page that my team recently redesigned to enhance user experience and interactivity. It features an engaging calendar layout, although it currently does not have a dropdown menu option implemented yet, along with a visually appealing image carousel that showcases the varied gifting opportunities available.

High Fidelities

The High Fidelities for the Home page turned out exceptionally well, featuring a beautifully designed banner at the very top that draws attention immediately. Additionally, there is a dedicated "Ways to Get Involved" page, which offers various options for engagement. Below that, you'll find a vibrant banner showcasing the current gift drive, which will be updated regularly to reflect the changing seasons and highlight new opportunities for participation.

Mind Map

When looking closely at the site, there were numerous issues that could be addressed effectively. Some of the most pressing concerns included the overall responsiveness of the web design (RWD), as well as the functionality and user experience of the Getting Involved page, which needs significant improvements to encourage engagement.

Proto Persona

Our Proto persona was thoughtfully crafted for a user who has recently experienced the profound loss of a loved one. This individual may find solace in the act of donating to others, as it provides a sense of purpose and fosters feelings of being important and cared for. By reaching out to those in need, they can channel their grief into meaningful contributions that uplift the community and themselves.

Description

Since 1994, this non-profit has served more than 100,000 isolated seniors in need in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Gifts for Seniors provides donated gifts, resources, and life affirming personal contact to older adults on fixed incomes. The social visits are critical for identifying instances of self-neglect, abuse, and exploitation.
